Caterpillar was close to grass but trying to climb walls n baskets
Believe that is one of the tussock moth caterpillars , because of the heavier tufts of hair at the head and tail end. Do you have photo of the face? Or more clear photos of the side? How long is the caterpillar?
This caterpillar looks black and white from the photo? Or is it a different color in bright light?
Many of the fuzzy caterpillars look very similar and can be so many different colors. There are a couple of tiger moth caterpillars you can only tell apart by the color of the heads.
The caterpillar will turn into a moth, but at this stage it is hard to know which one it is and what it eats.
Thanks for any additional information.
